Jacqueline Hardy Dip HE Counselling (Child and Young Person) MBACP
Jackie is a qualified counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
Jackie offers a Person-Centred approach to Counselling and provides an autonomous environment for children and young people in which they can feel safe to explore and find a voice and effective communicative skills to help with the stresses of childhood and adolescence, so often experienced by many. As children and adolescents often find it difficult to express themselves emotionally using verbal communication, she also offers a creative aspect to her therapy, in the hope that feelings, emotions and experience can be explored more deeply through different media such as art, music and play.
As a Person-Centred Counsellor, Jackie values each client individually and will work with whatever they bring, in a way in which they feel comfortable and supported to explore. Her passion is to support the younger generation in enabling them to cope with the difficulties of their experience, not by telling them what to do or trying to ‘fix’ their situation, but by listening non-judgementally, and walking alongside them as they explore and find the answers they are looking for themselves.
Jackie works with children and young people aged 4 to 25 years.
As well as having a private practice in Saffron Walden, she also works as a school counsellor in Newmarket. You can view Jackie's full profile at Counselling Directory or BACP Therapist Directory.
Jackie is available at The Saffron Walden Therapy Room every Friday. You can contact Jackie by sending an email to [email protected] or by calling 07881 888842.
