It is important to choose your preferred counsellor before booking your appointment. Once you have decided who you would like to see please forward an email directly to your preferred counsellor (see email addresses below):
Or you can leave a message on 01799 794795 (please state whether you would like to book an appointment with Lisa or Charmaine).
In most instances your chosen counsellor will either call or email you within 24 hours.

How long is a counselling session?
Counselling sessions are for one hour but can be longer depending on what you have agreed with your counsellor.
When can I come for counselling?
We have weekday and Saturday appointments available.
We try to keep your sessions to the same day and time to provide you with consistency and so you know you have that time dedicated to you. We appreciate this isn't always possible.
How often do I need to come for counselling?
We usually recommend weekly sessions and counselling can be short or long-term depending on your own individual need.
We will have regular reviews to see how the counselling is progressing and what you feel you need so you are in control of how long you would like the counselling to continue.
How will counselling benefit me?
Counselling is a talking therapeutic therapy. The Saffron Walden Therapy Room is a place where you can come and talk to a qualified counsellor about whatever is bothering you or things you may be struggling with in a safe non-judgemental environment.
It can be helpful to talk to somebody in confidence away from family and friends.
Counselling can help you to make sense of things, become more self-aware and have a greater understanding of yourself and others.
It can help you to see other choices and options for yourself and how you live in the world, building your self-confidence and feeling more in control in your life.
